Employment Skills Workshop Series

This free employment skills workshop series will support you to develop employability skills such as resume & cover letter writing, communication, and job searching as well as land-based job skills in invasive species removal, tool safety, and plant medicine.

    June 19 - August, 14 2025 | 4:30 PM to 7:30 PM | Thursdays

    New this season, we’re offering two participation options to suit your schedule and goals:

    1. Drop-In Stream: Choose the workshops you’re most interested in and register for as many as your availability allows. Perfect for those with flexible or changing schedules. 
    2. Cohort Stream: Commit to all 10 workshops and move through the series as part of a group of like-minded youth, fostering community, connection and shared growth.

    Eligibility
    Youth ages 18-25 who identify as Indigenous, Black, People of Colour, 2SLGBTQIA+, and/or living with a disability.

    You will receive $20 honorarium per workshop attended as well as bus tickets and a light meal.

Sayan Ladhani

Sayan is a second-generation East Indian and British with parents from England and Uganda. She was born and raised on the traditional lands of the Attawandaron, Ho-de-no-sau-nee-ga (Haudenosaunee) and ᐊᓂᔑᓈᐯᐗᑭ (Anishinabewaki) peoples and the Treaty lands of the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation in Guelph, Ontario. An avid nature lover, Sayan has a degree in Environmental Sciences and a passion for outdoor education and advocacy. She moved to BC in 2023 with her partner to spend more time exploring the great outdoors and can now be found gratefully living on unceded xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and səl̓ilwətaʔɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) territory. When not working, Sayan can be found camping, trying out new recipes and in the sun with a good book.
