As we say a heartfelt farewell to our Executive Director of almost seven years, Emily Keller, we’re excited to introduce EYA’s new Co-Executive Directors – Erica Ellis & Carmen Wong!

Under Emily’s leadership, EYA has grown in so many impactful ways. We’re immensely grateful for her dedication to developing strong programs, growing our staff and board team, and building strong internal systems, all while applying a youth-led and anti-oppressive lens.

A Co-Executive Director model represents a shift in our leadership structure that emphasizes the importance of collaboration, diverse perspectives, and shared decision-making – and will help us build a more anti-oppressive, equitable organization.

We (Erica and Carmen) have been working alongside each other at EYA for the past 16 months in other roles – and we’re excited to continue collaborating as co-leaders, reflecting the identities of the youth we serve while expanding our impact as an organization.

We look forward to meeting you and invite you to join us in celebrating this exciting new chapter!
