Yes! EYA is a registered charity which means donations are eligible for a charitable tax receipt. These can be claimed in your annual income tax returns which may result in you paying less tax.

There are certain circumstances where we cannot issue a tax receipt, including situations where you receive goods or services in exchange for your donation. For example, if you purchase a bundle of native plants at market value or a ticket to an event you won’t be eligible for a tax receipt.

All donations support our mission to empower youth from equity-denied communities to become environmental stewards.

Your donation could help us purchase program supplies like plants and tools; pay the wages of our amazing youth educators, all of whom identify as youth from equity-denied communities; provide honoraria to youth to reduce barriers to participating in a program; and pay Indigenous Elders and Knowledge Keepers to visit programs and share cultural teachings and ecological knowledge.
