Youth Habitat Crew

Through this paid summer job, you’ll work with a small group of youth to help maintain EYA programming sites while developing land-based job skills like ecological restoration and medicine harvesting.

    Eligibility
    Youth ages 15-25 who identify as Indigenous, Black, People of Colour, 2SLGBTQIA+, living with a disability, or targeted by other forms of systemic oppression. We prioritize applications from past EYA participants.

Jess is a second generation settler who’s ancestors come from England, Scotland, and Trinidad. She grew up on traditional unceded lək̓ʷəŋən and W̱SÁNEĆ territory and studied Biology and Environmental Studies at the University of Victoria, where she found a love for talking to people about plants and a passion for creating accessible spaces for people to create personal connections with nature. Jess leads the Youth Habitat Crew.
