The Youth Garden

The Youth Garden is located in the south-east corner of the Cottonwood Community Garden, in Vancouver’s inner city. Before the EYA took it on, the Youth Garden was an urban wasteland, with 10 foot high blackberry and lots of rubbish. It is now part of one of the most extraordinary urban green spaces in Canada, and is maintained and improved by youth in our programs. The Youth Garden includes a plant medicine garden, a youth-designed and painted mural, and wildlife habitat areas and is one of EYA’s core outdoor learning spaces for experiential, hands-on nature education in the inner city.
