Join EYA for our 2018 AGM & Community Celebration! This fun community event takes place annually at the Ecopavilion – a wood-heated and solar-powered building in Strathcona Gardens. Free and family friendly!

When: Saturday, March 24, 12:30 – 3:30 PM
EcoPavilion in Strathcona Community Garden, 759 Malkin Avenue, Vancouver BC

12:30 PM – 1:00 PM   Indigenous plant give-away 
Create wildlife habitat in your backyard or balcony! We’re giving away free native plants grown by EYA youth, including ferns, salal, oregon grape, snowberry, vine maple, and more.

1:00 PM – 2:00 PM   Leafcutter & mason bee box workshop  
Did you know there are 56 species of native pollinators in Vancouver? Learn about these fascinating creatures and build a bee box to support mason and leafcutter bees in your backyard or balcony! Please bring an empty 2L plastic pop or milk bottle or a paper milk carton for the bee box-building activity.

2:00 PM – 2:15 PM   Annual General Meeting
Meet EYA staff and board members. Free food and drinks will be served!

2:15 PM – 3:30 PM   Indigenous plant demonstration garden – planting activity
Join us for an educational, hands-on stewardship activity to enhance wildlife habitat in the garden. Tools and gloves provided. Tools and gloves provided.
